Outlook 2000 hangs on exit

After pushing Outlook 2003 to some users I notice others were having a problem with closing outlook. You get the infamous "Please wait while Outlook exits...." . First thing that came to my mind was cleanfreebusy!. so I tried from a command prompt. outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy. That worked temporarily. Then finally I came across this KB article . It basically explains if an Outlook 2003 client was used to open ar mailbox or if another user viewed your shared Calendar with Outlook 2003. The Outlook 2000 client will have issues. Because we have "allot" of shared calenders and mailboxes, I quickly called microsoft for the untested patch.

It worked !
