Big Dupree

Thanks for posting this! Works like a charm.

Thanks for the patch!

However, it's not a "self-installer".

Do I put this thing in ">Programs >Microsoft Office >Office" ?

mojopojo

Never mind the last...

Seems that MS Installer 2.0 wasn't installed on the PC that I was working on.

The patch worked fine. Thanks a million...

Expert Exchange Rocks... You guys are awesome. I was realy pissed of due to that problem and didn't want to call m$ for that.

Thanks once again

Neal

Thanks , and I'm glad the patch worked. Been doing some side projects right now but will soon post a few more hard to get patches here.

Alex Bailey

Hi! I am running W2K with Office 2K. I downloaded the patch from your website and I do have MS Installer 2.0 already installed, but the patch is asking me to install into a folder. Do I have to reinstall MS Installer 2.0? Thanks for your help in advance.

Alex Bailey

I ran the fix and it worked! I just saved the files to a folder on C: I created. I then ran the MSI file that I extracted to this folder. Also, I found out that you need to upgrade Office 2000 to SP3 before running the patch. Thank you for your hard work on this issue. Also

Thanks much works like a charm!! Was have this problem on two deskotps than today got it again on two more, so knew it was time to look into in and see if could find a cure. I knew I'd be able to find the answer on Expert Exchange, it's never let me down.

Neal,

You rock! I've been trying to solve this pain in the a$$ bug for ages. Five minutes after finding your site, I'm Outlook 2000 bug free!

Thanks!

David A. Cruice

Spoke too soon. If I open Outlook, do a few basic tasks (send an e-mail or two), then close down, everything is fine. However, if I do some multi-tasking in Outlook (e-mails, calender, etc.), then close down, it hangs!

I'm running Windows XP with SP2 and Outlook 2000. And I use Word as my e-mail editor in Outlook.

Well...Well...Well...
I think this is a great patch !

This patch & specially this site saved my ass from kicking. My company CEOs notebook has some outlook bugs. We installed office2003...... It didn't worked. Then we installed back office2000.... but it still has bugs....... after that i find your site very very useful, i downloaded the sp3 and this patch & together they saved my ass !

thank you very very very much......

Rain

Does anyone know where I can download the patch for Windows XP SP2? Outlook 2000 hangs when logging off and exiting.

Dave

This patch fixes the problem where Outlook 2000 hangs but we have found, on 2% of the systems, that it causes Outlook.exe to peg at 100% utilization in task manager. Has anyone else seen this issue and if so, what is the fix?
Thanks

Dave

One more thing...if we replace the outllib.dll file with the original file, utilization drops, but then Outlook hangs on exit again.

Dave

Seemed to work, but User tried setting up Junk Mail filters again & now OL2k hangs again. Worst of all, she's using WordPerfect to Send To and E-mail recipient & this stupid bug hangs WP too!!

When can we stop the madness? When can we replace ALL MSProducts with professionally-written apps??????

Pako Palma
